PROSCENIUM PLAYWRIGHTS INVADE BOSTON THEATRE MARATHON!

On May 20 three Proscenium Playwrights will be featured as part of the Boston Theatre Marathon.  Mary Conroy's THE FLYING WHITE PRINCESS, Robbi D'Allessandro's SARCASMS ANONYMOUS, and Angel Nunez's FRAGMENT will be among the best-of-the-best plays and playwrights.  CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!

During the heat of summer at The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts Playwriting Intensive in Washington, DC, as five New England-based playwrights immersed themselves as Guest Artists, the seeds of an idea were born.  Bubbled from imagination, a desire to bring diverse voices to the stage, and copious amounts of coffee-fueled 2am writing sessions, we came together to form Proscenium Playwrights. 

As the picture-frame through which audiences watch plays, proscenium fits our mission statement to develop and produce new plays by American playwrights.  Our goal is to provide our audiences with professional theatre of the highest artistic caliber.  We seek to establish a creative working environment that nurtures theatre professionals.  We strive to use the artistry of theater to enlighten, to educate, and to entertain audiences. 
We aim to extend that service through outreach programs.
